Spire Healthcare is a regular client to iab. As part of a successful partnership iab assisted the client with the design and construction of a new pharmacy. The project included the conversion of an open plan waiting area and consultation room. This project demonstrates iab’s ability to get involved with and work closely with professionals outside the laboratory arena. Security and safe storage ranked high in the brief. Storage was maximised using specialist pharmacy shelving, purpose built furniture, a dispensing counter and electrically operated security shutter. During the conversion of the two rooms the running of the hospital had to continue without risk to visitors and staff. This was achieved through zoning off the corridor and arranging non disruptive deliveries. The project was designed to suit the daily running of spires pharmacy staff.
