The project was an occupied building requiring iab to design and convert four patient bedrooms into a laboratory with a Histology Cut Up room and open plan laboratory for Histology, Haematology, Blood Transfusion and Sample Reception. This was a compact project which was not only demanding on space but required iab to carry out the project with patient occupation in adjacent bedrooms. The contract included a high level of demolition, builders work to restructure the area and the installation a ventilation system and ductwork in a confined spaces. The contract was completed in eight weeks and to budget.
