The brief here was to replace the facility and expand the existing analytical instrument laboratory to create an open and improved working environment.In creating an open plan laboratory it also was important to provide two separate areas to protect work from cross contamination. This was achieved with the introduction of a frameless clear toughened glass 750mm high dividing screen along the centre of the main peninsular bench.To increase the feeling of space light colours were chosen providing a bright clinical feel to the space. This project was brought together in collaboration with one of iab’s network partners, Lab Mode.
