We were approached by Eccleshill Dental Surgery, a local company, to design and refurbish their dental hygienist surgery. The clients request was to provide them with a bright sterile environment using joint free work surfaces, easy clean non-slip floor, and wipe-easy wall surfaces.
To complete the clients request, we stripped out all the existing furniture while retaining the existing chair, X-Ray machine, inspection light, spittoon and all dental tools.
We then completely redecorated the all the walls and ceiling in white acrylic eggshell – laid down a 2mm Polyflor non-slip sheet vinyl with welded joints and 100mm cove skirting to walls and furniture plinths
As for the furniture, we installed plinth mounted cupboard and drawers, this was to provide maximum storage for users of the surgery. We then used Corian worktops, this enabled us to glue and sand the surfaces to provide the client with the requested joint free work surface.
As part of the refurbishment we installed new electrics and data in three compartment trunking and installed all new 150mm recessed spotlights in the ceiling.
The whole dental surgery refurbishment was completed in a 2-week time scale due to the client needing fast turnaround times.
